Myofascial therapies are manual techniques that manipulate muscles. Hands-on Massage is the most common. Sometimes devices are used:
TENS unit (uses electrical impulses to stimulate muscles),
Rollers (help to release muscular tension),
Cupping (helps circulate blood through tense muscles),
Tui Na (helps realign muscular/skeletal system).
Topical herbal/essential oil lotions and creams are used to help increase blood circulation to an injured area and enhance healing and pain relief.
Movement therapies are used to help patients develop a regular physical routine that helps to rehabilitate injuries, decrease pain and increase overall health and vitality. From David’s 23 years of Yoga, Tai Chi, and Qi Gong experience, he has created a very short and easy routine that addresses all joint, tendon, ligament and muscle/skeletal problems as well as managing illnesses.
Nutrition is the foundation of taking control of your pain or illness and getting off of or decreasing your medications. David’s nutritional approach is comprehensive and directly decreases inflammation, strengthens the nervous system, increases serotonin and endorphins and decreases pain while increasing healing, organ function and overall vitality.
Breathing techniques are very effective at helping to release serotonin and other pain reducing chemicals as well as enhancing sleep. Most importantly, breath helps to reestablish the healing response pattern that is often compromised by the constant stress of illness and chronic pain.
Meditation is a technique that can help a person strengthen their mental focus and increase their courage to make the lifestyle changes necessary to manage and/or eliminate their pain or illness. Mediation has scientifically been shown to decrease stress and increase the pain killing chemicals serotonin and endorphins and help to regulate the physiological functions of the body.
Sleep enhancement is absolutely necessary for all patient's recovery. David’s many different sleep enhancement approaches allow the patient to get restful and healing sleep without having to rely on sleep medications.
Support groups have shown to increase the success rate of patients dealing with pain, infertility and illness. The support groups are lead by licensed psychotherapists.
